The Three Crones: Adra, The Oneirophant
The Three Crones are legendary sages – each powerful in their own right, but even more formidable as a coven. They are sought by the low and desperate for advice and blessings, though the price for their magics is often a dangerous one.
My goals with Adra were to present a being of simplistic majesty. I wanted her fantastical figure and exaggerated proportions to belie the true magnitude of danger she might pose to any foolish enough to move her to violence. At the same time, I wanted her to appear regal and somewhat unassuming, demarking her as not an enemy to face, but a powerful being to be wary of.
